The secret behind Sonicare toothbrushes
It has nothing to do with the toothpaste, the brush vibrates your teeth so hard that the bacteria either dies from motion sickness or just moves away because its so annoyed. :P I mean seriously, I just got a Sonicare toothbrush because it was recommended by my doctor. I tried it out 10 minutes ago and my mouth is still numb. I also don't even know if the toothpaste was still on the brush when I started brushing, because the first time I applied the paste I accidently turned the brush on and the toothpaste when flying. Who knows if the second time I put the toothpaste on the brush and waited to turn it on when it was in my brush of any of it actually touched my teeth. It probably just flung and hit that hanging thing in the back of my throat, well at least that's clean now, most people forget about it and neglect it. :P

I have a sonicare toothbrush. I got it for christmas last year and I love it. Mine had a setting that for the first 10 brushes, it would gradually build up the speed of the vibrations so you could get used to it. Also, if you put it in your mouth and THEN turn it on (and keep your mouth closed) the toothpaste stays in your mouth.
ReplyDeletep.s. why would a doctor (not a dentist) recommend a toothbrush?
Oh oops, yeah I meant to write dentist, not doctor. And that would be nice if mine had that setting. I wonder if yours was one of the higher up models?
ReplyDeleteI don't think so..I think my mom got it pretty cheap (less than 100). Check your instruction manual? It wasn't automatic.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was at your house, I noticed me and you have the exact same toothbrush so unless you changed the setting (hard to do on accident, read your manual), you do have it build up the intensity for the first ten brushes. I hope things have since improved!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea where the manual is, probably threw it out. But I just did some research and found this.
ReplyDelete"Many, but not all, Sonicare toothbrush models offer a reduced-power "Sensitive" brushing mode .... Of those Sonicare products that we discuss on our pages, the Sonicare Essence 5300, Essence 5500 and Xtreme e3000 do not feature a reduced-power setting."
I have the Sonicare Essence 5300 so no I do not have that feature on it. Ours must just look similar.
